Day 2

'Persepolis' was awesome. Definitely deserves to be on all the top animation lists. It has a very different feel from the typical Pixar, Miyazaki, or classic Disney that dominate most of these lists. Very powerful storyline, and the use of different styles of animation in different depths of the film was brilliant.

I was stumbling and found Will Wilson. A few of his paintings caught my eye including this, this and this. I think he is pretty strong as an illustrator and I love his mouse paintings.

Another discovery is some new Banksy that showed up in London recently. Banksy is a wonderful guerrilla artist who has become quite famous for his works in England.

Okay now I'm not usually one to share photography because I like too much of it, if I were to share with you all the photography that I liked, it would fill the pages of this blog. However, this I had to share. Ruedione is a graffiti artist, these photos however show very little of the graffiti art itself. The main focus is "being there." The photography is all black and white and very strong with lots of action and black silhouettes. Some of the best photography I've seen so far.

And the last thing for now is a little animation that i found. It's a pretty cool idea, animating things like fish and dragons to look like drops of ink in water.
